Public and private prayer words
The prayer form lets you choose whether to share your words. Public requests can show a first name, note, mood, time, and prayer count to other visitors in the same church. Use only information you are comfortable sharing, and avoid identifying or sensitive details about yourself or another person. Public requests are not turned into separate public article pages.
Turning off sharing keeps your words out of the public prayer book. The server does not retain the name or note in a private candle record. However, words entered in the form may be sent to the server for a wording check before submission, even if sharing is off. A private candle can still have a visible mood and time on the stand. Private is a visibility choice, not a promise that no data is processed.
What this browser remembers
Browser storage remembers choices such as avatar appearance and nickname, mood, church, language, and sound preference. It also keeps recent visit activity, identifiers for your own submissions and prayer acknowledgements, and Bible reading position, appearance, and bookmarks. Your own dedication may be remembered in a local visit record.
These local records are not an account-based synchronisation service. They may remain accessible to someone using the same browser profile. You can clear this site's stored data through your browser settings; doing so can remove preferences and bookmarks, but does not delete a public request already stored on the server. Storage may be unavailable or temporary in private browsing.
Prayer records on the server
The server stores prayer and candle records with an identifier, timestamp, church, mood, visibility choice, public words where supplied, and prayer or report counts. Orthodox entries can also record whether an intention is for the living or the departed. Recent records support the stand, prayer book, and activity totals.
The active prayer store uses a seven-day age limit and a capacity limit. Older records are pruned during loading and saving, and capacity can remove records earlier. Public listings show recent, unhidden entries; reporting can hide an entry without immediately erasing its stored record. These are product storage rules, not a guarantee of deletion from every technical system at an exact moment.
Live avatars and abuse prevention
The interactive church uses WebSocket connections for shared presence and live activity updates. Your chosen nickname, avatar appearance, church, in-scene position, direction, and pose are processed by the server. When you enter, avatar details and position are shared with other connected visitors in that church. These are virtual scene coordinates, not your device's geographic location.
The service receives connection information, including an IP address. Prayer submission, wording checks, acknowledgements, and reports use IP-based limits to reduce abuse. The application derives a salted IP hash for these checks and duplicate-action tracking. This does not make normal network connections anonymous or mean that no technical data reaches hosting systems.
Cookie-free analytics
Mood Church uses Plausible for cookie-free aggregate analytics about visits and page use. Analytics requests still process information needed to produce those statistics. Cookie-free does not mean that the website collects or processes absolutely no data.
Sharing a prayer, entering a live scene, and loading a public guide involve different data flows. If an intention is especially sensitive, consider praying without entering its details into the form. Choose a nickname rather than a full identity, review the sharing checkbox, and manage saved data in your browser.
