Read the Bible online

Open a chapter, follow a reading path, or return to a saved passage without entering the church scene.

Begin with a chapter, not a deadline

Choose a book and chapter, or enter a reference in the reader. Only editions matching your page language are offered. Full in-site editions are available for 19 of our 25 page languages. The other language pages provide clearly marked links to original Bible readers. We never silently substitute another language or generate Bible text. An edition may preserve older spelling or a different verse division; the original numbering is kept rather than forced to match another translation.

For a starting point, choose the Gospel of John, the Psalms, or a themed path for peace, hope, or comfort in grief. The longer path brings together John, the Sermon on the Mount, and selected Psalms. Its time estimate is a guide, not a requirement. Read a single chapter if that is what you have time and attention for today.

While reading, adjust the font size, switch between night and paper appearance, or use optional automatic scrolling. Save a bookmark to return to a passage. Reading position, bookmarks, and reader preferences are stored in this browser when storage is available; they do not automatically follow you to another device. Clearing site data can remove them. Read surrounding passages for context and bring difficult questions to a trusted Christian community.

  • Choose a book, chapter, or suggested path.
  • Pause to reflect before moving to the next chapter.
  • Bookmark a passage you want to revisit.

Does changing the site language translate the Bible by machine?

No. Bible words come from a published translation in the selected language, not a machine translation of the English Bible. Full in-site editions are available for 19 of our 25 page languages. The other language pages provide clearly marked links to original Bible readers. We never silently substitute another language or generate Bible text.

Will my bookmarks appear on another device?

Not automatically. The reader saves progress and bookmarks in your current browser, separately by page language. Private browsing or clearing site data may prevent that information from being kept.

Can I read for two hours or choose a different chapter?

Yes, in an in-site edition. Start a longer reading path, choose any supplied book and chapter, or move to the next chapter. You set the pace; there is no time limit or required daily target. Text size, parchment or candlelight colours and optional auto-scroll can make a longer reading more comfortable.

Does the full Bible library use AI-written Scripture?

No. The full Bible library imports words from identified published editions under a checked public-domain or open licence. Those edition texts are not generated or rewritten by AI. Original prayers written for Mood Church are labelled as prayers, not Scripture or official liturgical texts.

Are the Bible words or these prayers invented by AI?

Bible words are imported from identified published texts under a checked public-domain or open licence. They are not generated or rewritten by AI. Prayers written for Mood Church are labelled original prayers, not Scripture or official liturgical texts.
